Kicking off the show... with Capcom and The Governator.

Well, this is my first blog post. Ever. Exciting no? I think so.
Seems I may as well find something interesting and fun to bitch about so I actually have a first topic, and I'm thinking a recent thing I read which really wound me up would be a good place to start.

I'm pretty into my media- (movies, music & games) and I like to keep up with the news on the releases and titles I particularly enjoy.One such piece of news I read just yesterday was to do with the eagerly awaited Xbox and PS3 game Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. I don't own the game myself but love the premise, the mix of two popular franchises and I've been thinking about buying it, however I stumbled across another blog post which stated some coding on a copy of the game had been hacked into and that two unreleased characters names ('Frank', believed to be Frank West of Dead Rising and 'Dr. Octopus' of Spiderman) were listed within the games coding already... Why is this a bad thing? Well because Capcom already released the game with two characters which you needed to BUY upon release (Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath) ...I mean paid DLC upon release? That's a bit shitty. And now two further characters have been revealed to be in the inert fibres of the game already, essentially giving away the fact that Capcom could bloody well have released the game with four more characters than they did and have basically just chosen to shaft the fans for extra revenue even after they have shelled £40 or $60 (depending where your from) for the title. To me a game like this is all about the characters, the previous in the series boasted 56 I believe and now players are being forced to pay extra to fully enjoy aspects of the game which should have been included from the get go... very cheeky if you ask me. Of course it could end up that these are two characters which were begun in development and then axed for whatever reason although I really doubt it, we'll just have to wait and see if these two pop up as DLC in the coming months.

Next, I'll talk about a new TV show I heard about just the other day, namely... The Governator!
I actually couldn't believe this when I read it, but it must be legit as it was on BBC news and announced on Entertainment Weekly.
So the word is Arnold Schwarzenegger is involved in a new action-comedy show designed in an authentic animated comic book style. The show is being developed by Marvel legend Stan Lee and word is Schwarzenegger is involved in the development too. The Governator character is inspired by and going to be voiced by Arnold himself and I'd imagine this it's going to end as a cross somewhere between American Dad and Iron Man, either way this turns out I think I'm going to have to give this one a look... I mean what's not to love about the idea of this thing... it's incredible, I just love the way Arnold is basically taking the absolute piss out of himself with this, he knows what his fans want now he's done by enlarge politically, teasing us on the big screen once again in 'The Expendables' and as a CGI cameo in 'Terminator: Salvation' and now he's delivering to the masses with this tongue in cheek animated venture.
The Governator will also be cooked up into a comic book for all you avid readers so be ready across platforms for an absolute onslaught of bad puns, memorable yelling and I can only hope for classically Schwarzenegger cheesy kills.
If you want to take a look at the official first post about this project, take a gander at This entertainment weekly exclusive article.

Well that about sums it up for my first little blog, not so bad was it?
But, before I forget;
Why T-Rex Logic you might be asking?

Because who doesn't love a T-Rex's logic? They Rarr.
